KAINGU PRIVATE CAMPSITES
Camping at Kaingu in ZambiaKaingu has three fully private campsites. When we say ‘private’, what we mean is that each pitch has its own shower and toilet block as well as washing-up areas and a thatched shelter. Hot water is supplied from donkey boilers, and a campsite attendant looks after the hot water, supplies firewood and removes rubbish. Firewood is included in the daily rate. None of our campsites contains power hook-ups.
Rapids sites 1 and 2 are located immediately downstream from the lodge, just as the Kafue starts to tumble over the rapids (which are a short walk from the sites). A footpath leads up to the lodge. The two sites are adjacent but completely private from each other.
Chief’s campsite is located considerably further away from the lodge. It is situated below the rapids. It is a 650m walk from the campsite to the lodge. It is highly secluded and very romantic.
All the sites share incredible river views and fresh green grass. All three sites have ample shade at all times of the day.
