October Newsletter in pictures. The month that the heat really built and we were seeing 38 degrees most days, so cooling off by running the rapids. We also saw our first Impala young on the 6th of the month. We took delivery of a new Hilux game viewing vehicle. A short family trip down to lake Itezhi Tezhi saw us witness the first real proper rains on the 14th of the month and we captured some of the lighting over the lake. The lots and lots of elephant action. Canoeing and climbing Puku Pan hill for stunning views over the Kafue. Then handing over a massive school donation package at Itumbi and Keela Community primary schools. A bit of birdlife on the river, a sausage sizzle under the stars on Mpamba rock, yet more elephant action around the lodge and installing a new solar pump. Oh, and right at the end of the month and there was a partial lunar eclipse. But we were completely clouded out as the eclipse started so we only got some pictures of a cloudy (but still intact) full moon!
